PureAir Filtration specialises in providing customized, high performance air quality solutions. Each system is custom designed because each customer has a unique problem. Our systems often include make up air, air purification, dehumidification/humidification, heating/cooling, and recirculation air loops. No system is too large or small for our capabilities.
Our air purification adsorbent media has the highest performance in the industry. Because of this, PureAir is able to design systems with benefits unapproachable by any other company. These benefits include ultra high purification efficiencies, extended media life, precise temperature and humidity control, and ease of installation and maintenance.
PureAir also provides a line of products which simplify the regular maintenance of its systems. This includes a line of real-time electronic air quality monitoring, real-time media bed life monitoring, chemical filtration, corrosion classification coupons, and media life analysis.
Antimicrobial Solutions
Trusted for years to filter unwanted gases, vapors, and odors, PureAir Filtration has taken a strategic step to develop a line of antimicrobial air filtration products. Currently, the two products on the market are Microbe-sorb Chemical Adsorbent Media, and FiberShield with Ionic+ technology. These solutions offer different ways to add a layer of protection against bacteria and viruses in commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
FiberShield™
PureAir Filtration—the world leader in the removal of gases, odors, and vapors—has developed with Noble Biomaterials an antimicrobial fiber fabric that can be used in HVAC systems to help fight against viruses and bacteria. PureAir’s FiberShieldTM is the only antimicrobial filter fabric of its kind on the market. Made of a proprietary blend of nonwoven, nylon microfibers, impregnated with Ionic+TM sterilizing silver particles, the powerful antimicrobial fabric can be incorporated into any particulate filter, allowing filter manufacturers the flexibility to simply add antimicrobial technology to existing products.
Microbe-sorb™
PureAir Filtration is happy to announce the launch of our newest media, Microbe-sorb! Microbe-sorb is comprised of our highest concentration of permanganate, plus a proprietary formula which activates and enhances its antimicrobial properties. PureAir’s adsorbent media has been trusted for years by customers to remove gaseous contaminants from industrial and commercial facilities, and now, our newest media has been developed to keep environments safe from viruses and bacteria. Like many of our other products, Microbe-sorb is also fire resistant.

Media Modules & Filters
PurePak Modules (PP18 & PP12)
These disposable cartridges were developed to provide customers with a method to quickly and cleanly change the media in particular air purification systems, in particular the PureAir Side Access Housing unit. It can be filled with any PureAir superior adsorbent media. The PP12 dimensions are 12” x 12” x 24” while the PP18 measures 6” x 24” x 18”. Cartridges are typically sold in pairs.
Matrix Filter
Carbon based adsorbent media matrix blocks are aligned and encased in the recycled frame and screen to be installed into various filtration systems to provide the superior performance of PureAir’s adsorbent media. The matrix blocks have a monolithic structure and can be made of either PureAir AC-X, Ammoniasorb, or Sulphasorb chemical adsorbment media. The size and shape of the monolithic structure of the cells leads to turbulent flow and superior performance. The system also has no bypass and a very low pressure drop which amount to total air filtration with efficient energy use. Click here for more information.
Test and Replacing Adsorbent Media
Keeping your system serviced with high performance chemical adsorbent media is very important. If media is not changed out when it is due for replacement, your system will not function properly and unwanted gases will be released into your environment. The life span of the media will vary depending on many factors such as type and quantity of gas, airflow, etc., but on average, it lasts for a little over a year. There are multiple ways that you can test to see if your media is reaching its expiration date:
Media Bed Rod- Our deep bed scrubbers have a silver rod inserted into the system. You can pull out the rod and see where the furthest end of the rod is being corroded. When the corrosion travels past the middle of the rod, it is time to replace your media. Electronic Media Bed Monitor (EBM)- This is available on some PureAir units and will alert you when it is time to change the media.
Through continuous monitoring and a notification system, this tool makes it easy to keep up with maintenance on the unit. Sampling the media for lab testing- We offer complimentary media testing for all PureAir customers. This test requires a small sample of media from the system. For deep bed scrubbers, we usually recommend getting media from each system side port. Put the media samples in Ziploc bags, and mail it to us at our facility. As soon as we receive the media, we will test it and send you a lab report back analyzing the lifetime value of the media.
Coupon Testing- For monitoring of corrosive gases, we can install a simple PureAir Coupon with copper and silver strips in the affected area and let it sit in the environment for 30 days. The metals will be tested and analyzed at our lab to determine if the media is still adsorbing all corrosive gasses. We also offer an electronic coupon (ECM) that can monitor the corrosive properties of the air and its effects on the copper and silver strips without lab testing.
